The girl in the picture is called Chanh. She is a pupil in the 7th grade at an elementary school in the commune Lung Cai (Bac Ha, Lao Cai). Many people guess that this child is a hybrid between Vietnamese and European or American, but the author of the image said her parents are both Vietnamese.
